Helicopter Spins Uncontrollably into Palm Trees at Frequented Southern California Coast
A helicopter soaring above a well-attended coastal coastline abruptly commenced twirling out of control, eventually dropping height and smashing into a row of palm trees as onlookers observed.
Footage shared on social media capture the helicopter commencing to spiral above the shoreline then descending towards the edge of the beach, where it gets stuck among palms and a steps adjacent to the Pacific Coast highway.
Rescue Operation Update
Emergency responders reported five individuals were taken to hospital including a pair who were in the helicopter and were “extracted safely from the crash site” following the incident on the weekend.
Three persons on the pavement were harmed. Specifics on their injuries were not immediately available.
The cause of the crash was not yet disclosed.
