Best-selling children's author and TV personality David Walliams has parted ways with his longtime publishing house, as confirmed by the firm.

An official for the firm commented: "After careful consideration, and under the leadership of its recently appointed chief executive, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish additional books by David Walliams."

Reports indicate that the move was reached following an inquiry regarding claims about conduct deemed unsuitable involving female individuals.

The publisher declined to specify the reasons for its decision, adding: "We refrain from speaking about internal matters."

A Prolific Literary Career

Walliams stands as a most best-selling authors for kids, having sold more than 60 million copies worldwide in dozens of tongues.

His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins back in 2008.

Some of his titles, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have also been adapted into television films.

He has published in excess of 40 works in total, encompassing a Christmas book titled *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins in October.

Television and Literature

His initial claim to fame came on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.

He received an OBE in 2017 in recognition of his work for charity and the arts.

This development follows the naming of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO last fall.
